The works Of The Flesh – Freedom by The Cross of Jesus Christ

The Endeavors of the Flesh

Paul tells us in the fifth chapter of Galatians.  The entire book of Galatians, but especially the fifth chapter, is a warning of Paul to the church in Galatians, which also implies us. The caveat is that if they put their faith in anything but “Christ and Him crucified,” that “Christ will benefit you nothing” (Gal.5:02)

Paul the Apostle goes on to say that if the child of God does not follow to the Leadership of the Holy Spirit, which is the means of the Cross, then, the actions of the human nature or flesh will be revealed.

He said: “The works pertaining to the human nature are revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness , lasciviousness , idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies , and things like about of which I tell you before, as I have told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God “( Galatians 5:19-21

I will repeat it because it is truly essential:

If a child of God does not understand the Cross of Christ as it relates to sanctification, eventually, someway, one or more of these “actions of the sin nature” will result in your living.  As stated, this is imminent! The leading four “adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,” are plain and simple to perceive. But, modern Believers “rapidly overlooks idolatry, witchcraft and heresy,” with the mindset it is not relevant and does not truly apply in modern times.

We will answer that:

First, as suggested any way of victory other than the cross of Christ, such as the ” Purpose Driven Life,”  the “Government of the Twelve,” the ” Word of Faith ” or ” denominationalism ” etc. , is idolatry. Indeed, it is the same as the Old Testament, when Israel would begin to serve idols rather than God. No doubt, Israel is indeed attributing to these idols as the God, but the Lord absolutely did not regard him in the same manner! And not to be seen differently from today’s idolatry! However, all this is “heresies” that abides in today’s Church.

Let me be more clearer:

Any teaching, position , manner or way made ??by men, which means that it is concoct by men and not by God, is declared by the Lord as “heresy,”  which is an “action of the sin nature.” Let me repeat that it is truly, truly vital! Any alternative other than “Christ and him crucified” is in the mind of God “heresy.” When you begin to perceive these “works of the sin nature, these things are even more revealing.

planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.”(Romans 6:3-5).

THE CROSS OF CHRIST

I know what Christ had given me pertaining the “sin nature” and that was the solution to my question” Why? “But, as noted, when he revealed that to me, He didn’t give me the solution.  He told me what the issue was, it was very true, but nevertheless, I still didn’t have the solution, but Jesus Christ never does anything partially.

It was in one of the prayer gatherings in the evening, in fact, just days after the Lord gave me the illumination of the nature of sin.  At that time, I was partitioning the Lord, asking him to show me the solution to this difficulty. How are we going to articulate the sin nature? How can we control it? He began to speak to my spirit.

“The answer you desire is in the Cross! The answer you desire is only in the Cross.”

I knew it was the Lord, I had no doubt. The Spirit of God enveloped my soul during the prayer meeting.  I knew I had discovered the solution.  It is hard to tell you how I felt. It was as if I had been in bondage, and the doors were now wide open, and they said, “Your Set Free!”

I had no distrust about what the Lord had spoken. He told me: “The resolution you pursue is amidst the Cross!” As I began to weep and the Spirit of the Lord touched my soul, I repeated those words again and again.  In the days ahead he promptly started opening up to me God’s word, and showed me specifically it was, and is, the Cross of Christ.

He led me to the 6 Chapter Romans

Paul spoke? “What shall we say then we continue in sin (the sinful nature), that grace may abound, God forbid how you think, that are dead to sin (dead to the sinful nature) live in it?” (Romans 6:1-2).

These passages reveals to us that sin, “the nature of sin,” is the dilemma, while ministers may try to say this or that or something else is the cause, the Holy Spirit tells us that “sin” is the real issue. It might be a sin we commit consciously or subconsciously but defiantly sin is the obstacle.

Then he tells us that the only cure for sin, the only solving for sin, the only answer to sin is the Cross of Christ.  To be plain, the Holy Spirit through the apostle takes the child of God directly to the Cross. Keep in mind, Paul is not talking to the unsaved, but to the saved.  While we try to live for God, and I mean live for God the right way.  As a result, we must always know that it is the Cross of Christ, where we start and where we have to finish.  There is nothing after the Cross

Now we will examine these same passages by EXHIBITOR OF BIBLE STUDY.  know you not, that all who have been baptized into Christ Jesus (clearly says that this baptism is in Christ and not water [I Cor 1:17; 12:13; Gal 3:28-29, Eph. 4:5, Col. 2:11-13 ] ) were baptized into his death ( When Christ died on the Cross in the Mind of God, we died with Him, that is, He became our substitute and our identification with his death gives us all the benefits for which he died, the idea is that he did it all for us!)

“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death (not just die with Him , we were buried with Him as well, which means that all the sin and transgression of the past were buried, and when they put him in grave, they put all our sins in that grave too) that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life ( we died with Him, we were buried with Him, and His resurrection was our resurrection a “new life”).

“For if we have become united with him ( Christ) in the likeness of his death ( Paul proclaims the Cross as the instrument through which all blessings come, therefore, the cross must always be the object of our faith, who gives the Holy Spirit freedom to work within our lives ), we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection. ” (We can have the” likeness of His resurrection,” live this resurrection life, only as we understand the “likeness of his death,” which refers to the cross as the means by which all this is done.)

Christ The Cross Our Victory

Matthew 4:1-3

First Temptation:

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread”. 4 But He answered and said,“ it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God’”

 Second Temptation:

5 Then the devil took Him up into the Holy City, set Him on the pinnacle of the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple of the temple, 6 and said to Him, “If you are the son of God, throw Yourself down.  For it is written: He shall give His angels charge over you; and in their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’” 7 Jesus said to him,“ It is written again, you shall not tempt the Lord your God.’”

 Third Temptation:

8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to him, “All these things I will give You if you will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, away with you, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” 11 Then the devil left Him, and behold angels came and ministered to Him.

Jesus overcame allurement without a doubt. You, also, can have triumph over enticement by completely confiding in God’s Word and filling your faith with it. See how each time Satan enticed Christ in the wild, He addressed Satan’s enticements with the power of Scripture. He didn’t struggle about it and He didn’t examine it. Jesus accepted God’s Word, and He personally lived, contemplated and retained the Word of God. He cited God’s Word, considered it—and, yes, He even protected it with righteous indignation.

Furthermore, when your faith is involved and clothed with the Word of God, you, too, will have triumphed over temptation against all odds. To be a victor and not a victimized person, mimic the life of Christ. To annihilate Satan Schemes against you, put God’s word into practice in your life, and Christ, who is the bread of  heaven, and the eternal living word of God will move in your life through the person of the Holy Spirit as your faith, rest in Christ knowing that He has legally and judicially Satisfied the demand of the broken law that demanded a Godly ransom that only God our father could provide.

Well, one of the greatest questions today, and rightly so, is how do we receive the same victory over the vices of Satan as our Lord did nearly eighteen hundred years previous, now that Christ has ascended to heaven and we as believers are still dealing with continued attacks from the devil through the world and flesh.  Jesus said in John 14:18 – I will not leave you comfortless (helpless): I will come to you (through the Person of the Holy Spirit) John 14:26 – But the Comforter (Helper), which is the Holy Spirit (Proclaims the Third Person of the Godhead), Whom the Father will send in my Name (because Jesus paid the price on the Cross, enabling the Holy Spirit to come in a completely new dimension).

Now! that we have the Aid of the Holy Spirit, we can Overcome the Vicious on-slots of Satan, only through the Cross of Christ.  In other words, the victory that Christ Won on Calvary becomes our victory, simply, because we are in Christ and Christ is in us, “it’s called the Divine Entanglement” (Galatians 2:20).  As Jesus exhibited Faith in the Word, so must we exhibit Faith in Him, for He is the living (logos) Word and the Benefits of the Atonement, only made possible by His Obedience, even unto the Death of the Cross, (Philippians 2:8) then, the Holy Spirit is Free to work in our life and begin the Now! legal process of strengthening and transforming us unto the image of Jesus Christ, through the Power of the Holy Spirit because our faith is in the correct object, whom is Him.  It is essential to know that the Holy Spirit doesn’t demand a lot from us, “but Only! that our Faith be Forevermore in Christ.”

Grace, can only come as a result of the finish work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as we accept Him as our Savior and “Maintain” our Faith in Christ and what He accomplished on the Cross for the whole of humanity, that Grace, only received through believing and declaring Him as Lord of our life, will be prevalent in our walk with the Holy Spirit, as Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthian 12:9 – But He said to me, My Grace is sufficient for you.  In essence, Jesus is saying My unmerited favor has made you victorious, you don’t need anything else to be triumphant you already are, because your Faith is “Exclusively in Me and My Atoning Work on Mount Calvary.” Therefore, you are hid in Me in God. Colossians 3:3 – For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  My victory, is your Victory because I am that source in which you draw every ability, power, strength and heavenly might, through the Holy Spirit. However, you walk in the Spirit as your Faith is Exclusively in Christ and what He has done via the Cross on Golgotha’s Hill, the place of the skull.  Zachariah 4:6 – Then He answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the LORD of Hosts.
