The Endeavors of the Flesh
Paul tells us in the fifth chapter of Galatians. The entire book of Galatians, but especially the fifth chapter, is a warning of Paul to the church in Galatians, which also implies us. The caveat is that if they put their faith in anything but “Christ and Him crucified,” that “Christ will benefit you nothing” (Gal.5:02)
Paul the Apostle goes on to say that if the child of God does not follow to the Leadership of the Holy Spirit, which is the means of the Cross, then, the actions of the human nature or flesh will be revealed.
He said: “The works pertaining to the human nature are revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness , lasciviousness , idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies , and things like about of which I tell you before, as I have told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God “( Galatians 5:19-21
I will repeat it because it is truly essential:
If a child of God does not understand the Cross of Christ as it relates to sanctification, eventually, someway, one or more of these “actions of the sin nature” will result in your living. As stated, this is imminent! The leading four “adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,” are plain and simple to perceive. But, modern Believers “rapidly overlooks idolatry, witchcraft and heresy,” with the mindset it is not relevant and does not truly apply in modern times.
We will answer that:
First, as suggested any way of victory other than the cross of Christ, such as the ” Purpose Driven Life,” the “Government of the Twelve,” the ” Word of Faith ” or ” denominationalism ” etc. , is idolatry. Indeed, it is the same as the Old Testament, when Israel would begin to serve idols rather than God. No doubt, Israel is indeed attributing to these idols as the God, but the Lord absolutely did not regard him in the same manner! And not to be seen differently from today’s idolatry! However, all this is “heresies” that abides in today’s Church.
Let me be more clearer:
Any teaching, position , manner or way made ??by men, which means that it is concoct by men and not by God, is declared by the Lord as “heresy,” which is an “action of the sin nature.” Let me repeat that it is truly, truly vital! Any alternative other than “Christ and him crucified” is in the mind of God “heresy.” When you begin to perceive these “works of the sin nature, these things are even more revealing.
planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.”(Romans 6:3-5).
THE CROSS OF CHRIST
I know what Christ had given me pertaining the “sin nature” and that was the solution to my question” Why? “But, as noted, when he revealed that to me, He didn’t give me the solution. He told me what the issue was, it was very true, but nevertheless, I still didn’t have the solution, but Jesus Christ never does anything partially.
It was in one of the prayer gatherings in the evening, in fact, just days after the Lord gave me the illumination of the nature of sin. At that time, I was partitioning the Lord, asking him to show me the solution to this difficulty. How are we going to articulate the sin nature? How can we control it? He began to speak to my spirit.
“The answer you desire is in the Cross! The answer you desire is only in the Cross.”
I knew it was the Lord, I had no doubt. The Spirit of God enveloped my soul during the prayer meeting. I knew I had discovered the solution. It is hard to tell you how I felt. It was as if I had been in bondage, and the doors were now wide open, and they said, “Your Set Free!”
I had no distrust about what the Lord had spoken. He told me: “The resolution you pursue is amidst the Cross!” As I began to weep and the Spirit of the Lord touched my soul, I repeated those words again and again. In the days ahead he promptly started opening up to me God’s word, and showed me specifically it was, and is, the Cross of Christ.
He led me to the 6 Chapter Romans
Paul spoke? “What shall we say then we continue in sin (the sinful nature), that grace may abound, God forbid how you think, that are dead to sin (dead to the sinful nature) live in it?” (Romans 6:1-2).
These passages reveals to us that sin, “the nature of sin,” is the dilemma, while ministers may try to say this or that or something else is the cause, the Holy Spirit tells us that “sin” is the real issue. It might be a sin we commit consciously or subconsciously but defiantly sin is the obstacle.
Then he tells us that the only cure for sin, the only solving for sin, the only answer to sin is the Cross of Christ. To be plain, the Holy Spirit through the apostle takes the child of God directly to the Cross. Keep in mind, Paul is not talking to the unsaved, but to the saved. While we try to live for God, and I mean live for God the right way. As a result, we must always know that it is the Cross of Christ, where we start and where we have to finish. There is nothing after the Cross
Now we will examine these same passages by EXHIBITOR OF BIBLE STUDY. know you not, that all who have been baptized into Christ Jesus (clearly says that this baptism is in Christ and not water [I Cor 1:17; 12:13; Gal 3:28-29, Eph. 4:5, Col. 2:11-13 ] ) were baptized into his death ( When Christ died on the Cross in the Mind of God, we died with Him, that is, He became our substitute and our identification with his death gives us all the benefits for which he died, the idea is that he did it all for us!)
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death (not just die with Him , we were buried with Him as well, which means that all the sin and transgression of the past were buried, and when they put him in grave, they put all our sins in that grave too) that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life ( we died with Him, we were buried with Him, and His resurrection was our resurrection a “new life”).
“For if we have become united with him ( Christ) in the likeness of his death ( Paul proclaims the Cross as the instrument through which all blessings come, therefore, the cross must always be the object of our faith, who gives the Holy Spirit freedom to work within our lives ), we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection. ” (We can have the” likeness of His resurrection,” live this resurrection life, only as we understand the “likeness of his death,” which refers to the cross as the means by which all this is done.)
